President Museveni and his counterpart Paul Kagame of Rwanda are expected to meet tomorrow at the Katuna boarder. Officials from Uganda and Rwanda are in Katuna to ensure success of the meeting and security has been beefed up to ensure protection of the two heads of state.. In August last year, Presidents Museveni and Kagame signed a memorandum of understanding in Luanda, Angola’s capital that was meant to end the boarder standoff between the two nations. Since February last year, Rwanda stopped traders from ferrying goods from Uganda and issued a travel warning to its citizens not to travel to Uganda. Since then Rwanda has been demanding Uganda to release its nations who are rotting in Uganda’s Prisons and recently Uganda’s Foreign minister Sam Kuteesa handed over a batch of rwandanese nationals to the officials from Rwanda at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
